Want to get behind the mic and make some great radio? Then join WTJU this July for our summer 2021 radio camp!

NOTE: At this time, we are planning to offer WTJU's summer camps both in-person and virtual simultaneously. Families may choose whichever option they prefer for the same price. If public health directives make in-person camp impossible, camps will pivot to all-virtual.

General information on our summer education offerings:
Upper Elementary School Students (grades 3-5, ages 8-10) will learn the basics of audio production, conduct radio interviews, and produce a short audio piece.

Middle School Students (grades 6-8, ages 11-13) will do a more advanced version of the Elementary curriculum while also producing a full music show that will air on 100.1 FM.

High School Students (grades 9-12, ages 14-18) should reach out to wtju@virginia.edu for internship opportunities where they will design and execute a personalized curriclum covering topics such as news production, band/live music engineering, and audio editing.
